Using Unix Find to Locate WordPress Functions
I am a unix / linux web developer primarily and use some windows / mac editors for ease of use.
When it comes to locating code snippets within wordpress or other cms’ I find it easiest to do this within the linux shell using the find command with a little help from egrep.
generally speaking I can find what I am looking for quite easily using the often forgotten find command.

Remove ‘View all posts filed under’ title from category links
Trying to remove the ‘View all posts filed under category name’ from the title tag on links, I searched and searched and couldn’t really find what I was looking for.
Job Fair Spam
I recently went to a dice.com job fair in Los Angeles, and handed out my resume, with a business card. Dumb mistake, I didn’t get any job offers, but I did manage to get on about two to three hundred mailing lists and now even if I did get any legitimate response from a potential employer I won’t know because of all the spam that I am having to sift through.
UGH!!! I sure wish I hadn’t given out my email address.
Note to self, do not place business card in bowls for drawings or sweepstakes in the future unless I want to be spammed.

There are only two steps required to accomplish this.
From your terminal window type these commands.

Aweber is awesome. They have this feature in which you can automatically send out emails to your list when you update your blog through rss. woohoo!
Artisteer Remove Footer Entry
After you have created your new beautiful template you notice that you have a footer that boasts the artisteer site.
To remove this, just open up your footer.php file in the exported directory of your template and remove or change the reference to artisteer.
Simple.
